Synopsis

Inspector Jack Frost returns to the small English village of Waverton. where twelve years before he'd failed to solve the mysterious kidnapping and disappearance of baby Matthew Fulton. Although his retirement is imminent, fresh evidence has turned up. It's the eve of Matthew's older sister's wedding, but Frost's unexpected arrival, in the midst of excited and happy wedding preparations causes consternation amongst the close-knit locals, and outright hostility from the baby's mother.
With his relentless questioning, and with the help of an ambitious local journalist, Frost soon realises that much more is known about the disappearance of baby Matthew that anyone is willing to admit. The truth is not always what is seems , as confessions of guilty secrets and lies eventually emerge. It's only in the final moments of this deeply absorbing play, as he recognises and accepts his moral dilemma, that Frost makes his choice. A choice which may provoke some after-show discussions amongst our audiences!
My cast: treading the Cathouse boards again will be some of the usual suspects – Frank Sartore. Geoff Brookes, David Prince, Gemma Francis, Maggie Browne, all previously seen in last year's madcap farce, Shut Your Eyes and Think of England, joined by Cathouse stalwarts Pat Agyeman, Fiona Agyeman, and experienced newcomer Robert Wightwick. My Stage Manager is Gail “Murfi” McGregor, assisted by Nicole Katiforis, technical support from Alan Barrett, and as usual, original music throughout from Cathouse composer, Galliano Sommavilla.
